Qualifications and Skills:
- Current credentials and certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting
- Ability to create inclusive, engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learner needs
- Positive, patient, and adaptable communication style
- Commitment to fostering an encouraging and respectful classroom environment
- Experience collaborating with related service providers and families
- Must be comfortable working on site
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and support to middle school students with varying abilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, supportive environment to enhance student participation
- Work collaboratively with school staff, administrators, and families
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Adapt teaching methods to meet unique learner needs
