Make a difference in the lives of middle school students by providing exceptional support as a Special Education Teacher in a welcoming and collaborative educational setting. This full-time, contract role spans from July 1st through June 11th and offers the opportunity to directly impact the growth and success of 7th and 8th grade students. Two dedicated professionals are needed for this rewarding role, supporting a manageable caseload of 10 students.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with students in grades 7-8, preferably in special education settings
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and families
• Effective classroom management and organization skills
• Collaborative mindset and adaptability to the unique needs of each student

Core Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades 7-8
• Monitor student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and document outcomes
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and independence
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to report on progress and support at home
• Attend team meetings, professional development sessions, and IEP meetings as required
