Youll have your choice between working in an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classroom or a therapeutic classroom, each with full support from three paraprofessionals and strong multidisciplinary collaboration, including speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and social work.
Qualifications:
- Current Michigan Special Education (SPED) Certification (required)
- Experience with ASD or therapeutic/behavioral populations strongly preferred
- Passion for working with elementary-aged students (K-5)
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support within ASD and/or therapeutic classroom settings
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to meet student needs
- Create inclusive, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and behavioral strategies
- Foster a nurturing classroom culture that encourages growth and achievement
