Qualifications Preferred:
- Valid PEL (Professional Educators License) or eligibility to obtain via the Illinois State Board of Education (refer to the ELIS system for instructions if licensed out of state)
- Experience in a resource model serving elementary students (grades K-4)
- Training or certification in Orton Gillingham, SLANT, Wilson, Sonday, or similar structured literacy programs
- Dedication to both academic and social/emotional support
- Ability to work onsite, Monday through Friday, for a full-time 35-hour workweek
Responsibilities:
- Serve a caseload of 812 elementary students within a resource model (pull-out and push-in support)
- Deliver direct instruction and provide support in general education classrooms
- Implement individualized education plans
- Foster both academic progress and social/emotional growth
