Qualifications Preferred:

• Valid PEL (Professional Educators License) or eligibility to obtain via the Illinois State Board of Education (refer to the ELIS system for instructions if licensed out of state)
• Experience in a resource model serving elementary students (grades K-4)
• Training or certification in Orton Gillingham, SLANT, Wilson, Sonday, or similar structured literacy programs
• Dedication to both academic and social/emotional support
• Ability to work onsite, Monday through Friday, for a full-time 35-hour workweek

Responsibilities:

• Serve a caseload of 812 elementary students within a resource model (pull-out and push-in support)
• Deliver direct instruction and provide support in general education classrooms
• Implement individualized education plans
• Foster both academic progress and social/emotional growth
