School Psychologist Jobs

As a school psychologist, you experience unique challenges, circumstances, and rewards every day. It is a dynamic position that requires a keen eye for assessment, an ability to perform classroom evaluations and strong communication skills to promote trust with students, parents and fellow faculty. At ProCare Therapy, we understand your value and importance to children in the school setting. That's why we offer unique job opportunities that are right for you and impactful for your students. Even after we help you find a great position, we will continue to work closely with you, providing one-on-one mentoring and ongoing career support.

School Psychologist Responsibilities

School psychologists work with children in grades K – 12, helping them with academic struggles, disabilities, behavioral and emotional issues. School psychologists promote wellness within a school by providing these students with anger management, social, and communication skills. Assessing students’ progress and collaborating with other educators is another major responsibility for school psychologists.

School Psychologist Requirements

Before you begin working as a school psychologist you need at a minimum a master’s degree. Many school psychologists go back to school and receive a Doctor of Education or Doctor of Philosophy. Most states, but not all, then require certification from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) where they can then receive state licensure.
