Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain appropriate certification for Audiologists
- Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret audiological data and recommend tailored interventions
- Collaborative approach to partnering with staff, families, and outside providers
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and screenings for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans (IEPs) relevant to audiological needs
- Serve as a resource for students, parents, and school staff regarding hearing loss and device management
- Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and assistive technology
- Train staff and educate families on strategies that support students with hearing impairments
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school policies and relevant regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute expertise and insights
