Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active licensure as an Audiologist
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children or within an educational setting highly valued
  • Strong skills in diagnosing auditory and vestibular disorders
  • Ability to conduct thorough hearing assessments and provide tailored recommendations
  • Familiarity with educational audiology equipment and assistive technology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Flexibility to collaborate with multi-disciplinary educational teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments for students
  • Interpret test results, prepare reports, and recommend individualized interventions
  • Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and families to address students needs
  • Guide the selection, fitting, and maintenance of hearing aids and assistive devices
  • Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) ensuring compliance
  • Offer in-service training and educational resources to school staff and parents
  • Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in educational audiology
