Job Description
An exciting opportunity has opened for a behavior specialist eager to make a difference in a supportive educational environment. This contract position focuses on helping K-12 students thrive academically and socially by providing expertise in behavior management. The school welcomes both Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) to apply. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through May 20th, 2026.
What Were Looking For:
- Active BCBA or RBT certification
- At least one year of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Preference for professionals with a background in school-based settings, though any ABA experience is valued
- Comfortable working full-time or part-time hours, with flexibility in days per week
- Ability to commit to one school campus for the duration of the assignment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Support faculty and students with effective behavior management strategies
- Educate and train teachers and staff on de-escalation techniques and crisis prevention
- Consult on challenging behaviors, providing insight and coaching to school personnel
- Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to foster a positive learning space
- Direct involvement with K-12 students to encourage a safe and welcoming classroom environment
- You will not be required to write Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) or Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
