Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active BCBA or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Minimum of one years experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- School-based experience is highly desirable, though applicants with other relevant backgrounds will be considered
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and training skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support for faculty and students in managing classroom and individual behaviors
- Mentor, train, and educate teachers and staff in proven de-escalation and crisis prevention techniques
- Model appropriate behavioral interventions and monitor progress
- Participate in team meetings and keep thorough, accurate documentation as needed
- Note: This position generally does not involve writing FBAs (Functional Behavior Assessments) or BIPs (Behavior Intervention Plans)
