Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in Social Work or Counseling preferred
  • State Counselor License (LPC, LCSW, LMSW, or LAC) required
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students in a school or educational setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and preventative programming

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver counseling services to K-12 students, tailored to address academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans for students in need of additional support
  • Collaborate with teachers, administration, and parents to enhance student success
  • Facilitate small-group sessions and classroom guidance lessons on topics such as conflict resolution, decision-making, and wellness
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with district policies and state regulations
  • Respond effectively to crises, providing immediate support and appropriate referrals as needed
