Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in Social Work or Counseling highly preferred
- Active State Counselor License: LPC, LCSW, LMSW, or LAC
- Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting strongly encouraged
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
- Dedication to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, emotional, and social challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement student success plans
- Support crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral management strategies
- Maintain accurate and confidential records while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Deliver preventative education and mental health programs for students and staff
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and multidisciplinary team meetings
