Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid teaching credentials in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Previous experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in a school setting
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with assistive technologies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver full-time, onsite educational support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (37.5 hours/week)
- Assess student needs and develop individualized educational plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize student success
- Serve as a resource for staff and families, promoting awareness and advocacy
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs
