In this position, you'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide hands-on nursing care and daily support to students who face severe disabilities. Qualifications and Skills:
- Active and current LPN/LVN license required
- Previous experience in school nursing or with pediatric populations preferred
- Direct care skills including G-tube feedings, use of Hoyer lifts, and hygiene/diapering support
- Comfort managing daily medications and responding to seizures and other medical emergencies
- Professional communicator who collaborates well with teachers, therapists, and families
- Positive, supportive demeanor; exhibits patience and enjoys engaging with students with autism and other complex needs
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and adaptability are essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver routine and emergency nursing care for medically fragile students
- Administer daily medications and monitor for side effects or changes in condition
- Collaborate with staff to support educational and care goals
- Provide physical assistance for daily living activities including lifting and mobility support
- Maintain detailed records of care and communications
