Job Description

Step into a dynamic role supporting elementary students as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) in a school environment near Santa Ana, CA. You'll be at the heart of the school's health office, building trust with young students, staff, and families.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered LPN or LVN license in California
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
  • Skilled in general first aid, health office procedures, and medical documentation
  • Ability to manage and monitor students with seizure disorders (training provided if needed)
  • Confident in working independently and communicating effectively with school staff and parents
  • Reliable, organized, and adaptable to changing schedules

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations in the school health office during core hours (26 PM, and as early as 11:39 AM on minimum days as notified)
  • Provide health assessments, administer medication, and manage acute or chronic health issues for elementary students
  • Offer general nursing support and basic first aid for minor injuries or illnesses throughout the school day
  • Closely monitor students known to have seizure disorders, responding promptly with appropriate interventions and documentation
  • Serve as a resource and point of contact for health-related questions and support within the school community
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
