Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Washington School Orientation and Mobility Specialist ESA Certificate, or a Washington ESA certificate with COMS or NOMC certification
  • Proven experience or strong interest in working with children from Pre-K to 8th grade
  • Solid knowledge of O&M techniques and interventions, particularly in school settings
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and consultative skills to effectively partner with educators and families
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail to document services and recommendations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert consultative services on a monthly basis, totaling 30 minutes per month, with scheduling flexibility within the predetermined time range
  • Assess students orientation and mobility needs, develop tailored strategies, and offer actionable guidance to school staff and families
  • Provide ongoing recommendations for instructional programming and environmental accessibility
  • Support the IEP process through insightful contributions and documentation as needed
  • Foster an inclusive and positive environment that encourages student growth and independence
