Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated Occupational Therapist, providing essential support to students from December 14th through June 4th. Experience the fulfillment of making a tangible impact in young lives while collaborating with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school setting near Anaheim, CA. This full-time position allows you to utilize your expertise in a collaborative and inclusive environment, ensuring every student receives the care they deserve.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Demonstrated experience working in school settings (required)
- Strong understanding of school-based IEP processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively alongside a COTA
- Passion for supporting students with varying needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students functional abilities and develop targeted intervention plans
- Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with educational staff, families, and the COTA to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain detailed records and document progress towards therapeutic objectives
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional input
- Adapt therapeutic activities to meet individual student needs
