Job Description
An exciting contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to work within school settings near Bowling Green and Maumee, OH. This part-time position is ideal for professionals passionate about making a positive impact on students learning experiences and daily success. Flexibility is a key aspect of this role, as the director is currently determining the final schedule of hours and days. Those interested in working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) are also encouraged to apply and will be considered for coverage at the school site in Maumee.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Ohio Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric therapy environment preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and meet student needs
- Experience or willingness to mentor/partner with a COTA is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students according to IEPs and district guidelines
- Evaluate and document students needs, progress, and treatment plans
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families for comprehensive student support
- Develop and implement interventions to assist students with fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Participate in meetings, assessments, and team discussions as required
