Job Description

Step into a dynamic school-based opportunity where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist will make a genuine difference for young learners. This is a full-time contract assignment, starting as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year. The role is based at an elementary school, collaborating with a dedicated team of educators and support staff to help students meet their developmental, academic, and social goals.

Desired Background and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts.
  • School-based OT experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to effectively support K-5 students across diverse needs.
  • Comfortable performing assessments, creating IEPs, and delivering both individual and group therapy.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a busy, supportive elementary school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services and interventions for elementary-aged students according to their IEPs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student success.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans and goals.
  • Document progress and attend IEP meetings as required.
  • Support students in developing fine motor, self-care, sensory processing, and functional skills suited for the classroom setting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records consistent with school and professional standards.
