As a school-based OT professional, youll collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other therapists to deliver personalized support that helps children succeed both academically and personally.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist license in California
- Prior experience working in school settings preferred, though strong clinical or pediatric backgrounds also valued
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to manage diverse caseloads
- Dedication to providing individualized care and promoting students educational participation
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create targeted intervention plans for students with a variety of needs
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in classrooms and dedicated therapy spaces
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapeutic recommendations
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring in accordance with district and federal requirements
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing your expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Support safe, accessible, and positive learning environments for all students
