Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in an elementary school setting as a Paraprofessional, assisting students and teachers through the remainder of the academic year. This contract role is based near Biddeford, ME, with opportunities at the Ed Tech I, II, or III level in a supportive environment, starting as soon as possible and continuing through mid-June.
Schedule details include working approximately 33 hours per week, from 7:15am to 2:45pm, with early release on Wednesdays at 1:10pm.
What Youll Need:
- Ed Tech I, II, or III certification (current CHRC & up-to-date Ed Tech certification required)
- Willingness for those not yet certified to obtain required credentials prior to startinterviews available for motivated candidates
- Experience supporting students as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational setting preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Reliability and communication skills are essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom and individual instruction under teacher direction
- Assist students with varied learning needs to engage in daily classroom activities
- Provide academic and behavioral support based on individual education plans
- Promote a welcoming, encouraging, and safe classroom climate
- Help maintain organization of classroom materials and resources
- Supervise students as needed during transitions, lunch, and recess
