Job Description

Make a difference in a young learners journey by working one-on-one to help prepare a kindergarten student for their first school experience. This unique contract position is based in a home setting near Federal Way, WA, providing an ideal opportunity to contribute meaningfully in just one hour per day.

In this role, youll use your paraprofessional skills to support the childs readiness for school through engaging activities that foster growth, independence, and curiosity.

What were seeking:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional, especially in early childhood or elementary settings
• Understanding of school-readiness programming and the ability to adapt materials to individual needs
• Strong communication skills and patience when working with children and their families
• Creative approach to motivating young learners and building foundational academic and social skills
• Reliability and commitment to a consistent weekday schedule
• Ability to collaborate with parents and, if needed, school staff

In this contract position, you will:

• Plan and deliver interactive educational activities and routines with the student in their home
• Focus on building skills such as early literacy, numeracy, following directions, and self-care
• Track progress and adjust strategies to best support the learners growth
• Communicate regularly with the students family regarding goals, successes, and areas for continued development
• Maintain a positive and encouraging environment that makes learning enjoyable and rewarding
