Job Description

In this contract role, you will work closely with individual students to help them navigate their academic and social day, making a meaningful impact on their educational growth and daily experiences.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in an educational support capacity is valued
• Ability to build rapport and effectively support students in a 1:1 setting
• Patience, empathy, and clear communication skills
• Willingness to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational staff
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications are a plus

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, individualized support to a designated student throughout the school day
• Assist with classroom participation, assignments, and activities as directed by the teacher
• Encourage student independence while providing needed guidance and redirection
• Help implement behavior plans and instructional strategies
• Support the student with personal care tasks or mobility as needed, following established plans
• Maintain confidentiality and adherence to school policies at all times
• Communicate regularly with teachers and support staff to monitor student progress
