An opportunity is available for a highly motivated and compassionate individual to support a student who requires dedicated assistance throughout the school day. This contract position is situated near Lynnwood, WA, and is ideal for someone skilled in American Sign Language (ASL) who is committed to making a meaningful difference in a students educational experience. The role begins immediately and covers the full school day, from 7:15 am to 2:15 pm.

Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, especially within a school setting, is highly valued
• Ability to provide 1:1 support to students, promoting inclusion and engagement in all classroom activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with educators, staff, and students
• A supportive, patient, and flexible approach to assisting students with unique needs
• Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and well-being of the student

Responsibilities:

• Offer real-time ASL interpretation and paraprofessional support to one student during the entire school day
• Assist the student with accessing curriculum, participating fully in lessons, and navigating school routines
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment tailored to the student's individual needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to adapt materials and support the students academic and social success
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to educational team as needed
