Job Description

Support the learning environment in a vibrant school community by serving as a Paraprofessional in one of several elementary settings. These contract positions near Maple Grove, MN, provide the opportunity to contribute directly to student growth and success, working alongside passionate educators within a welcoming district.Multiple sites have immediate and upcoming openings, and your input on location preference is valued in the placement process.

Qualifications:

• Must meet one of the following requirements:
  • Pass the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam)
  • Hold at least 60 college creditsofficial transcripts required (unofficial or diploma not accepted)
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in educational settings preferred
• Ability to build rapport with elementary-age children and collaborate positively with teachers and staff
• Strong communication, patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude
• Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and confidentiality in all school matters

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction and assist students individually or in small groups under teacher guidance
• Implement accommodations for students with unique learning or behavioral needs
• Facilitate activities, help with assignments, and monitor progress
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and fellow paras to ensure student engagement and safety
• Assist with classroom management, both academically and behaviorally
