Job Description

Make a difference every day by supporting young learners as a Paraprofessional in a vibrant elementary school environment near Oakland, CA. Multiple full-time contract positions are open, serving in General Education classroom aid roles for grades Transitional Kindergarten through 5th. With start dates ASAP and coverage needed through June 11th, 2027, youll play a vital role in providing academic and daily living support to children at a key stage in their growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Paraprofessional or Instructional Aide preferred
• Comfortable assisting with all aspects of student care, including toileting and diapering when needed
• Flexible and eager to work with either early elementary (TK-Kindergarten) or 1st5th grade students
• Willingness to complete required paraprofessional training before starting
• Reliable transportation, with awareness of daily commute and toll costs if crossing a bridge is necessary

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in classroom activities, reinforcing learning and classroom routines
• Foster inclusive learning environments by assisting a diverse range of students
• Provide individual or small group support in academic and social activities
• Supervise students during arrival, transitions, and dismissal to ensure safety
• Assist with toileting needs and personal care as required by the assignment
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and daily activities
