School-Based Physical Therapist - Spring Lake, NC

Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist working with students across a variety of grade levels in a dynamic school environment near Spring Lake, NC. This role covers both a summer (ESY) and regular school year assignment, collaborating within a dedicated PT/PTA team to serve approximately 50 students at multiple locations. Mileage is reimbursed, and every effort is made to minimize travel distances between assigned schools.

Your summer commitment (ESY) runs July 8, 2026 through July 30, 2026Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 12:30pm. For the full-time school year, youll work from August 13, 2026 through May 28, 2027, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm (35 hours per week).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and current Physical Therapist license required
• Prior experience in school settings or early intervention preferred
• TPBA certification for Pre-K evaluation is valued, but not mandatory
• Willingness to obtain fingerprint clearance for work with Pre-K students
• Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites
• Strong ability to collaborate with PT/PTA team members

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students of varying age groups and abilities
• Travel between school locations as assigned within close geographical proximity
• Participate in student evaluations, IEP meetings, and progress reporting
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to achieve educational goals
