Key Qualifications:
- Active and current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
- Proven experience or training in pediatric physical therapy, ideally within educational settings
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and school-based therapy interventions
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork with educators, families, and other specialists
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations and various school environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students ages preschool through high school under licensed supervision, addressing a range of motor, mobility, and functional needs
- Implement, document, and track progress on individualized therapy goals within the academic setting
- Support evaluations, participate in IEP meetings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary staff to optimize student outcomes
- Utilize evidence-based practices to foster students motor development, engagement, and overall independence in the educational setting
- Maintain compliance with state and district guidelines, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
