Key Qualifications:

  • Active state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is required.
  • Experience working with pediatric clients, especially within school settings, is strongly preferred.
  • Solid clinical skills in evaluating and treating children with diverse physical needs.
  • Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with teachers, therapists, families, and students.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and adaptability in a school-based environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed physical therapists with developing and implementing therapy plans for students.
  • Deliver specialized pediatric physical therapy services to help students reach their mobility and functional goals.
  • Support students participation in classroom and school activities through adapted physical interventions.
  • Accurately document progress notes and maintain required records in compliance with school and legal standards.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide education and resources to staff and families to facilitate student growth.
