Step into a dynamic role supporting the health and well-being of students across multiple school sites! This full-time, contract opportunity offers you the chance to work with a dedicated network of professionals in an educational setting close to Addison, IL. Youll collaborate as part of a team of three Certified School Nurses (CSNs), each providing expertise across five schoolsincluding four elementary and one early childhood campus. Each site benefits from its own health office RN and health clerk, ensuring plenty of support for your daily responsibilities.
Skills & Experience:
- Valid Illinois RN license required
- Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential required
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or community health settings preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and special education regulations a plus
- Skilled communicator able to collaborate with students, families, and school personnel
- Proficient with documentation and health record management systems
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to students across assigned school sites
- Monitor and implement individualized healthcare plans
- Provide clinical guidance and oversight to health office RNs and health clerks
- Participate in IEP meetings, conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students with medical needs
- Maintain, analyze, and track health data in student management systems
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff and families, promoting wellness and safety initiatives
