Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based registered nurse, making a difference in the lives of K-12 students across multiple school sites. This position is located near beautiful Santa Rosa, CA, supporting approximately 1,000 students across three campuses throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license and BSN required
- California School Nurse (CSN) credential, or willingness to earn it
- Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations is a plus
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
Role Overview:
- Deliver skilled nursing care and health assessments for students across three school sites
- Support students with chronic health conditions, medication administration, and emergency care needs
- Promote healthy behaviors and advocate for student wellness throughout the school community
- Maintain accurate documentation and individualized healthcare plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure students health needs are met
- Provide training and guidance to school staff regarding health practices and emergency protocols
This full-time contract role begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the 2026-2027 school year, offering a competitive rate of $45-55 per hour for 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
