Youll play a key role in meeting the daily health needs of students and staff, collaborating with educators and families, and fostering a safe, supportive environment.
This contract opportunity begins immediately and extends through the end of the 2026/2027 school year, ensuring stability and the chance to build meaningful connections. You'll support approximately 1,000 students, balancing clinical care and proactive health education.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license and BSN required
- California School Nurse (CSN) credential (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and assessment skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple sites
- Compassionate, student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer first aid, medication, and treatments as needed
- Maintain health records and manage student care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on student health concerns
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and healthcare providers
- Lead health education initiatives and promote wellness programs
- Address emergent health situations promptly and effectively
