Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting a high school student as a dedicated 1:1 RN. Located in the East Providence area, this part-time role spans Wednesday and Friday each week with a start time of 7:30am, totaling approximately 15 hours weekly. The assignment runs from June 1 to June 17, 2026, with the option to renew for the 2026/2027 school yearoffering stability and room for growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license in Rhode Island
- Experience in schools, pediatrics, or working with young adults preferred
- Knowledge of seizure protocols and administration of emergency medications
- CPR certification required
- Compassionate approach to working with students who have complex medical and mobility needs
- Ability to support and encourage independence in special education or life-skills settings
What youll do:
- Provide 1:1 nursing care for a high school student who uses a wheelchair and may require emergency seizure care
- Support the student on job site visits, ensuring safety in community and work environments
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers about student needs
- Monitor health status and administer prescribed medication as needed
- Foster confidence and skills in a young adult learning for the future
