This on-site role involves flexible coverage assignments based on district needs, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple school sites serving grades from elementary through middle school. Start and end dates as well as weekly hours will vary, ensuring adaptability to your schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License with a School Psychology endorsement
- Masters, Specialists, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Previous experience in a school-based setting required
- Strong assessment, data interpretation, and report-writing skills
- Expertise in creating Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plans
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Calm, solution-focused approach during crisis or high-stress situations
- Technological proficiency for documentation and virtual collaboration
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct services to special education students, including group and individual counseling aligned with IEP goals
- Conduct cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive skills assessments; write comprehensive evaluation reports
- Play an integral role in IEP planning, behavioral health meetings, and multi-tiered support initiatives
- Support crisis intervention efforts, including risk assessments, safety plan implementation, and reporting
- Develop and facilitate interventions for academic, social, and mental health needs
- Consult and collaborate with families, educators, external providers, and agency partners
- Lead psychoeducational workshops, mental health interventions, and provide staff development
- Offer behavioral consultation for both special education and general education students
