As a contract professional, youll address both immediate and ongoing needs in a dynamic educational environmentoffering essential mental health and educational services to diverse student populations. Various assignment options are available, ranging from middle school leave coverage to part-time elementary placements, with coverage periods and workloads tailored to the specific assignment selected.
What Youll Bring:
- Masters, Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Active State Special Service Provider License in School Psychology
- Proven experience working in school settings
- Strong skills in student assessment, interpretation, and intervention planning
- Excellent oral and written communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with computer technology
- Ability to operate calmly and effectively in crisis situations
- Commitment to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Successful completion of district-specific background check and fingerprinting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one and group counseling aligned with IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor interventions to address students academic and social/emotional needs
- Provide classroom-based and general education mental health supports
- Conduct cognitive, behavioral, social, and adaptive skills assessments and author evaluation reports
- Participate in crisis intervention, including suicide risk and threat assessments
- Collaborate with educators, families, and external agencies
- Support staff and student well-being through professional development, psychoeducation, and consultations
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, team planning, and professional learning communities
