Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Social Worker to join a high school team in Galt, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in school-based mental health and counseling and a passion for helping students overcome social, emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges.

In this role, you will provide counseling services, support students across an assigned caseload, and collaborate with educators and other school professionals to help ensure students receive the appropriate services and resources they need to succeed.

Position Details & Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and social-emotional support to high school students.
• Manage and support an assigned student caseload.
• Confirm and maintain appropriate caseload documentation.
• Identify student needs and provide individualized support and interventions.
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other school professionals.
• Participate in and provide consultation for IEP and 504 plan meetings.
• Support students experiencing academic, behavioral, social, or emotional challenges.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.
• Help connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources.
• Promote a positive, supportive, and inclusive school environment.
• Respond appropriately to student concerns and situations requiring additional intervention.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in counseling or social work.
• Previous school-based mental health or counseling experience required.
• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Social Work.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Valid California auto insurance.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
