School Psychologist - Denton, North Carolina

Job Description

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina DPI School Psychologist license (must be current and uploaded with application)
• Proficiency in the ECATS system is essential
• Experience working with PreK-12 populations
• Excellent communication and consultation skills, especially with students, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams
• Competence in conducting psychoeducational evaluations
• Crisis response and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in educational settings, preferably within North Carolina

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments when disabilities are suspected
• Provide consultation, counseling, and crisis intervention services to support student success
• Participate in school and district-level multi-disciplinary teams
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, school staff, and parents
• Meet with parents for conferences and results interpretation
• Implement and lead staff development and training sessions tied to mental health and student needs
• Address a wide range of mental health concerns within the school population
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor
• Travel to various schools within the district (please note: mileage is not reimbursed)
