Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students and staff on a contract assignment as a School Psychologist in a dynamic PreK-12 environment. This is an onsite, full-time opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year, where you'll partner with a diverse district community to provide vital psychological services. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering students' well-being and ensuring they receive the support needed to thrive academically and emotionally.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active NCDPI School Psychologist licensure (must be attached with application)
  • Prior experience in a PreK-12 school setting preferred
  • Proficiency with ECATS is required
  • Background in consultation, counseling, and crisis response
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with parents, staff, and district teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation and counseling support across various campuses
  • Assist in addressing students mental health needs and crisis intervention
  • Hold conferences with parents to discuss student progress and concerns
  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of having disabilities
  • Deliver training and professional development to school personnel
  • Collaborate on multi-disciplinary district-level teams
  • Engage with teachers, staff, and families to build comprehensive support plans
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by your supervisor

Role Essentials:

  • Full-time, onsite commitment (37.5 hours/week), no remote options
  • PreK-12 caseload; involvement at multiple district locations (mileage not reimbursed)
  • One available position; interviews conducted virtually through Microsoft Teams
