Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter and/or Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required)
- Deep understanding of deaf culture and educational interpreting techniques
- Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Adaptability to work across various school sites as needed
- Passion for supporting students with special needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct sign language interpretation between students, staff, and educators in classroom and school-wide settings
- Facilitate clear, effective communication for students with hearing loss to ensure full access to curriculum and activities
- Collaborate with Special Education Teachers and other professionals to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assist in modifying instructional materials or classroom communication as recommended
- Contribute to ongoing professional development and best practices for inclusive education
