An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to provide specialized support in a high school setting, focusing on students with diverse learning disabilities. Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification in school-based speech therapy
- Experience working with high school students, particularly those with learning disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with educational staff
- Proficiency in implementing effective therapy strategies
Location:
- Joliet, IL
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement tailored IEPs to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a comprehensive support plan
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions, fostering a supportive learning environment
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities
