Job Description

Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting students communication success in a vibrant elementary setting. A contract Speech-Language Pathologist is sought to provide comprehensive services ranging from preschool to 6th grade. This in-person position begins early November and extends through early April, with the likelihood for continuation.

Utilize your SLP skills to help students develop crucial speech and language abilities within an encouraging, collaborative environment. Serve a manageable caseload of 43 students needing direct services, and provide case management for 22 students. Assessments are primarily completed, with only three pending at this time. All services take place at one site, allowing you to build consistent, meaningful connections with both staff and students.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Possession of SLP-CCC or eligibility as a CFY
• Valid state SLP licensure (or the ability to obtain before start date)
• Experience or interest in working with school-aged children, specifically in a preschoolgrade 6 setting
• Strong assessment, intervention, and case management skills
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable collaborating with teachers and parents

What Youll Do:

• Deliver individual and group SLP services as outlined in student IEPs
• Provide case management and progress monitoring for assigned students
• Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
• Complete pending initial assessments and contribute to ongoing evaluations
• Support teachers with strategies to optimize student communication in the classroom
