Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP state license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong CFY applicants considered
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience beneficial
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, and families to support student objectives
- Maintain timely and accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Conduct group or individual therapy sessions, adapting interventions as appropriate
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Educate staff and parents on recommended strategies for communication support
