Job Description

This full-time contract position honors a MondayFriday schedule (7 hours daily plus a 30-minute lunch) aligned with the academic calendar.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active state licensure in Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience in K-12 or pediatric school-based settings advantageous
  • Commitment to school-based service delivery
  • Ability to complete time-sensitive district credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprints

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students, with caseloads and specific age groups determined upon assignment
  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with school district policies
  • Support students success in classroom activities and peer interactions
