Job Description
Make an impact in early childhood education by providing speech-language services to young learners. Two opportunities are available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver direct therapy and support in preschool early intervention programs across Carbon and Lehigh Counties. These contract positions require flexible, compassionate professionals with experience in itinerant services, and the ability to transition between preschool and K-12 assignments as needed throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania SLP license
- Current educator credential (Instructional I or II)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Demonstrated experience in school-based or early intervention settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel within Carbon or Lehigh Counties as required
- Flexibility to support varied caseloads including PreK-12 students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person speech-language therapy to preschool and, if needed, school-aged students, supporting individualized educational goals
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with educational standards
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other multidisciplinary team members to support student progress
- Adapt to assignment changes as needed throughout the academic year
- Participate in ongoing professional development and IEP meetings
