Job Description
Step into a rewarding role supporting the communication development of young learners as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in an early childhood setting. This part-time contract opportunity is perfect for clinicians who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children while maintaining a flexible schedule. The assignment runs from November 1 to December 18, 2026, with services needed one day per week at an early childhood center in Highland, MI.
As an SLP working with our youngest students, your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting foundational speech and language skills. You'll collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to ensure each child's individual needs are met.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Michigan Speech Language Pathology license and ASHA CCC required
- Previous early childhood experience is a plus, but not mandatory
- Proficiency in delivering speech-language services within a school-based environment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to early childhood students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting specific communication needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state requirements
