Job Description

Make a direct impact supporting students' growth as a Speech-Language Pathologist, specializing in pediatric and school-based services. This essential contract role covers a maternity leave beginning mid-April and extending through December 2026, working with 8th and 9th graders in a welcoming school environment near West Chester, PA. Typical hours are from 7:25 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, for a total of 35 hours each week.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
  • Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric caseload strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEP writing, progress tracking, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills with adolescents

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in middle and high school students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff to support student success
  • Recommend classroom strategies and modifications to enhance communication access
  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services as outlined in student IEPs
