Pay: $55$60/hour
ProCare Therapy is partnering with Aurora Public Schools to hire a dedicated School Psychologist or School Social Worker to support students at Meridian Academy, a specialized program serving students in grades 612 with intensive behavioral and social-emotional needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians who are passionate about working with students requiring a higher level of behavioral and mental health support in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Position Overview
The selected provider will deliver school-based mental health services to students with significant and complex needs as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This role includes collaborating with teachers and support staff, providing direct student services, and completing all required special education documentation.
Current Caseload: Approximately 23 students (up to 30 at full capacity)
Responsibilities
Provide direct mental health services to students in grades 612
Support students' social-emotional, behavioral, and academic success
Conduct evaluations and assessments as appropriate
Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and services
Attend and participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
Assist with behavioral interventions and crisis support as needed
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
Qualifications
Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider (SSP) License
Endorsement as either a School Psychologist or School Social Worker
Experience working in school settings preferred
Strongly preferred experience supporting middle and high school students with significant behavioral, emotional, or mental health needs, including backgrounds in:
Day treatment programs
Therapeutic schools
Residential or facility-based settings
Alternative education programs
