Nestled in the scenic landscapes of eastern Washington, Endicott offers the tranquil, close-knit feel of a rural community paired with easy access to outdoor adventuresfrom hiking rolling hills to exploring nearby rivers and vibrant seasonal festivals. This assignment runs from late August through early June, ensuring youll experience the transformation of the Palouse region across the seasons.
As you provide essential social-emotional and behavioral support to K-8 students, youll enhance your skills working alongside another Social Worker, and collaborate closely with school administrators. This role is specifically structured to expand your expertisehalf your time will focus on a small, individualized caseload in behavioral services, while the other half will immerse you in administrative work supporting the superintendent and school board. Exposure to multiple aspects of school operations and student services will make you highly marketable for future opportunities.
Key Qualifications:
- ESA certification (preferred, not required)
- LCSW or MSW (preferred, not required)
- Experience with middle schoolers beneficial
- Must pass fingerprinting/background check
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct social-emotional assessments and counseling for K-8 students (caseload: 5-6)
- Participate in MTSS, IEP, and 504 meetings
- Administrative support: track certifications, manage records requests, and assist with report/agenda preparation
