Make a lasting impact supporting students well-being at a public STEM school for grades 6-12 in west Albuquerque. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated social worker skilled in both educational and healthcare settings, offering the chance to work closely with a small school community of approximately 325 students.

In this .8 FTE position (30-32 hours per week), you will manage a caseload of 16 students with IEPs and address general emergent needs across the student body. Your expertise will help ensure students have the resources and support they need to succeed both academically and personally.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid licensure as a school social worker
• Previous experience in school-based or healthcare social work settings
• Familiarity with IEP procedures and supporting students with special needs
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to handle emergent situations with professionalism and calm
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice in student support

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students with IEPs, including counseling and resource coordination
• Address social, emotional, and behavioral needs of the general student population as they arise
• Collaborate with school staff, faculty, and families to foster a positive school climate
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with district and legal requirements
• Serve as an advocate and resource for students navigating challenges and transitions
