What Youll Bring:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education
- Current Illinois Special Education teaching license with LBS1 endorsement
- Dedication to supporting students requiring academic, social, behavioral, and physical assistance
- Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators, therapists, and support staff
- Previous school-based experience is a plus, but not requiredenthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply!
What Youll Do:
- Plan and deliver individualized instruction and interventions for a Life Skills classroom
- Support students diverse needs, including academic progression and life skills development
- Adapt materials and strategies to foster learning, communication, and self-care
- Maintain accurate documentation on student goals, progress, and interventions
- Partner with families and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
- Cultivate a supportive, positive classroom environment that promotes growth for every learner
