Make a transformative impact in students lives as a Special Education Teacher within an innovative elementary program designed for learners with unique developmental needs. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with the Ready, Set, Launch programan expanded, center-based initiative supporting students with autism and diverse learning profiles, alongside established LAUNCH and DCD services.
Your compassion and expertise will help create an inclusive classroom environment for elementary students, fostering growth and maximizing each childs potential. The role runs from late August to early June, providing full-time hours during the academic year. Youll collaborate with a team committed to individualized instruction, functional skill-building, and positive behavioral supports.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience working with students who have autism and/or significant developmental needs
- Strong background in IEP implementation, data-driven instruction, and classroom management
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and support staff
- Flexibility, patience, and a passion for innovative education programs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver targeted instruction for elementary students within the Ready, Set, Launch program
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to unique student profiles
- Implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing progress reporting
- Promote social, emotional, and academic growth in every child you support
